why do you turn gps off?

I do that for testing sometimes so I can trigger K band without it getting locked out on video and so I don’t get GPS weirdness when I do videos indoors.

Any tips to get the EL app to connect with the Max360?
My 360 is hard wired, BT is connected to the phone (verified in phone settings and display of 360)
However, the app shows the 360 but will not connect to it to allow me access to the device settings.
Phone is an iPhone 6s+. I am assuming there is something wrong with app.

There shouldn’t be any tricks. You should be able to see the Max360 in your phone’s bluetooth devices list. Connect to it there and then you can connect to the app.

Have you made any test after the Max 360 new firmware Vortez?

Not much has changed with the new firmware. However, I am doing some testing this weekend with a bunch of different detectors, Max360 included. Stay tuned for updates. 🙂

This radar detector is huge (for my 09 Miata). I’ve got a homelink rearview mirror that I could tap into for power, so would mounting it to the left of the mirror be ideal, or should I mount it low on the windshield near the dash?

It is huge, yeah. I’ve got an ’11 Miata, so same thing. Up high and to the left of the RVM is my favorite spot for it. It’s pretty easy to run a power cable along the trim of the vehicle, or you can power it from your homelink RVM.

I recently Purchased a used escort Max(Original) What equipment do I need to set it up with my iPhone. Will escort live give me real time alerts of radar reported in the area. Will escort live send data t the detector to alert me. Also what is the best way to update firmware and defender database on his model.
